(Rev) Mullins, Jr.; born February 22, 1921, Parsons, Kansas; died July 12, 2007, Overland Park, Kansas; entered Oklahoma A & M (now Oklahoma State) working on a degree in Aeronautical Engineering; enlisted in the Army Air Corps, was assigned to the 18th Fighter Squadron, 343 Group of the 11th Air Force in the Aleutian Islands where he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal; entered the University of Kansas in the School of Journalism; worked as a radio newsman at KSEK in Pittsburg, Kansas and the news department of KMBC in Kansas City; became Channel 9's first TV weather man; continued his writing, coauthoring a book with Dr. Richard Fenker directed at high school and college students; played dance bands and various jazz groups in the Kansas City area.
